Your worship must engage your spirit in the pursuit of truth.  That’s the kind of people the Father is out looking for:  those who are simply and honestly themselves before him in their worship.  God is sheer being itself — Spirit.  Those who worship him must do it out of their very being, their spirits, their true selves, in adoration. (John 4:23-24 — The Message)

Through the power of Praise and Worship, we have seen so-called “hardened criminals” break down and weep before the Lord.  The Bible says that God is seeking those who will worship Him in spirit and in truth.  We believe that this is because when we come to Him, simply and honestly being ourselves before Him, He is, by the power of His Spirit, able to open up and soften our hearts for the work that needs to be done there.

Our job as ministers, is to attempt to create an atmosphere where the masks and facades can be dropped before a loving and accepting God.  We do this, first of all, by dropping the masks and facades ourselves, and then entering into an attitude of worship.  Jesus’ promise to us is that where and when we have gathered in His name, He will be present, also.  As He comes into our midst and we come into His presence, the door to the throne room in heaven is thrown open and we are encouraged to enter boldly to find mercy and grace in time of need.

Because of Les’ musical background and training, LPM is able to present a unique musical tapestry, conducive to worship.  Utilizing state-of-the-art synthesizers, sequencers and harmonizers, combined with voice, alto and soprano saxophones, flute and trumpet, LPM is able to achieve a full orchestral sound with only two people.  Our musical styles run the gamut from traditional hymns to contemporary Praise and Worship in the style of Hosanna Music.

Whether we worship in a prison dining hall, an ornate church building, an inner-city storefront, or an open field under a starry night is of no consequence.  “The things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace.”

LPM has been called to lead worship services and celebrations in churches on both sides of the prison walls.  “And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free”  (John 8:32)
